“*sob* Where are you, old man?”
Well that’s slightly worrying…
“Could they not see?”
What.
speed, slow, slow down, decelerate, put on
— My thesaurus
this doesn’t sound very promising
“Overindulgence in pleasurable activities.” - Tarot card book (the card was III of Cups)
…..
I guess that pretty much describes a wedding well enough, yeah?;;;
this doesn’t work with either book near me. one just has a picture of a wolverine skull on page 79. the other with different types of bats.
so either my wedding has to do with skulls or bats. this sounds pretty interesting.
“I will send new corsets by courier….And the princess reports you are badly dressed, sometimes your clothes are awry, as though you have been romping in an unseemly fashion, and because all eyes are upon you, I have also received other news that your waist is misshapen and that your right shoulder is out of alignment.”
~Sena Jeter Naslund, Abundance: A Novel of Marie Antoinette. (This is an excerpt from a letter written to Her Majesty by her mother, Maria Theresa.
I -would- be the type to run about madly in a wedding dress! ♥
There are two book on top of each other right next to me, so I guess they’re both nearest.
“Utterly confounded by the cold softness of this not-quite-sand, stamping in bewilderment and fear.” (Myths of Origin, Valente)
“They had not seen each other for years— maybe decades.” (The winds of Khalakovo, Beaulieu)
Why does this seem so fitting?
“Within another minute, perhaps, it would have crumbled into ashes.” (1984, Orwell)
This is slightly worrying.
